Withdrawal of the leading item from Sotheby’s Geneva Auction

The Allnatt Diamond, 101.29 carat Fancy Vivid Yellow stone, was pulled from the Sotheby’s auction in Geneva.

Prior to being recut to its current size, the stone, which was originally 102.07 carats, was previously sold for $3 million at Christie’s in Geneva in 1996.

However, at May 14 Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels sales a Sotheby’s spokesman reported that the owner decided to keep the diamond. It was predicted that the stone would bring up to CHF 6.5 million ($7.2 million)
