Henckel von Donnersmarck tiara

The most expensive tiara ever sold at auction cost $12.7 million and was created by the House of Chaumet, and gifted by a German aristocrat Guido Henckel von Donnersmarck to his second wife, Katharina. The tiara consists of 11 pear-shaped Columbian emeralds (500 carats in total!) and 11 large cushion cut diamonds, which are set among diamond laurels and ribbons.
