There are two vintage shows taking place in New York City, as well as a Bonhams auction in Paris.
With its customary lineup of extremely specialized antique, vintage, and estate jewelry vendors, this show, a yearly highlight of the fall season, returns to Manhattan’s Metropolitan Pavilion. Ashley Zhang, Camilla Dietz Bergeron, DeYoung Collection, Jewels by Grace, Mahnaz Collection, Stephen Russell, Wilson’s Estate Jewelry, and others are among the favorites of JCK editors.
In the Chelsea section of New York City, there is another show devoted to vintage jewelry (as well as apparel and accessories). The one-day event will mark the debut of a regular pop-up with a changing lineup of premium vendors with expertise in every era. JCK readers can gain free entrance to the show via the organizers (purchase tickets here).
The most renowned jewelry brands in the world, including Cartier, Boucheron, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. (including pieces by Jean Schlumberger), Van Cleef & Arpels, Buccellati, and Christian Dior, will have stunning designs on display during this sale, according to a recent report by Annie Davison Watson of JCK.
One of the 173 items is a Cartier desk clock from around 1930 with a fan-shaped diamond hour hand and a mother-of-pearl dial with Roman numerals studded in diamonds. The clock sits gracefully on a base of onyx and gold, surrounded by coral bands and accented in black enamel. It is anticipated to sell for between $130,000 and $200,000.
